Job summary

A-Line Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced I-9 Auditor for a 3-month engagement in Texas. The role requires hands-on auditing of Form I-9s and remediation work to ensure compliance with federal employment eligibility requirements.

The ideal candidate will review I-9 sections, identify discrepancies, and coordinate with HR to obtain missing information, while supporting E-Verify where applicable and maintaining confidential records throughout the project.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in HR compliance or a related field.
• Hands-on experience auditing Form I-9s.
• Experience completing I-9 remediation/corrections.
• Strong working knowledge of Form I-9 requirements.
• Knowledge of E-Verify and related processes.
• Ability to handle confidential employee information with discretion.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive internal audits of employee Form I-9s for accuracy and compliance.
• Review Section 1, 2, and 3 information and documentation.
• Identify missing information, discrepancies, and errors for remediation.
• Perform I-9 remediation and corrections per requirements and procedures.
• Research and resolve discrepancies identified during audits.
• Collaborate with HR to obtain missing or corrected information.
• Support E-Verify processes when applicable.
• Maintain accurate audit records and documentation.
• Escalate complex issues when needed.
• Meet project deadlines for the 3-month engagement.
