Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. in West Palm Beach, FL seeks an Aerothermal & Fluids Analysis Engineer to develop CFD solutions, engine performance modeling, and thermal analysis for hypersonic programs.

You will work across CFD, FE analysis, and ramjet test support to deliver validated results for advanced propulsion systems. The role requires collaboration with program offices and chief engineers, strong data analysis, and the ability to obtain a US security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree and minimum 2 years of related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum 8 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide CFD analysis using commercial and proprietary codes with high fidelity models.
• Communicate with internal teams and external customers about results and recommendations.
• Drive designs from concept through detailed design; participate in tests and IRAD-to-production.
• Perform CFD for performance modeling and thermal boundary condition generation.
• Perform Finite Element Method analysis for thermal analysis to support structural analysis.
• Assist with test support for ramjet/scramjet engine data validation and post-test data reduction.
• Possess ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance.
• Travel ~10% to support testing.
