Job summary

Leidos in the United States seeks a Director, Hypersonics Growth to lead growth strategies across the hypersonics portfolio for DoD, IC, and DOE customers. You will identify, shape, and capture opportunities and serve as business development lead for priority pursuits.

You will partner with technical and program leadership to align capabilities, manage budgets, staffing, and pipeline, and drive long-range planning with senior customer relationships and strong performance metrics.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience supporting DoD/DOE or national security programs.
• 8+ years in growth, capture management, or business development and program management.
• Understanding of hypersonics technologies and related systems.
• Proven success leading competitive new business pursuits to contract awards.
• Ability to communicate with technical, programmatic, financial, and acquisition stakeholders.
• US Citizen with ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the hypersonics growth strategy aligned with enterprise objectives.
• Identify, qualify, and shape new business opportunities from early engagement through award.
• Serve as Business Development Lead for priority hypersonics pursuits.
• Develop and implement win strategies, engagement plans, and teaming approaches.
• Maintain senior-level customer relationships across DoD, DOE, and related agencies.
• Own and manage division budget, staffing, and pipeline with forecast accuracy.
• Align internal capabilities with IRAD investments and evolving requirements.
• Coordinate across Leidos areas to deliver integrated solutions.
• Support proposal development, reviews, and executive messaging.
• Monitor market trends and acquisition strategies impacting hypersonics.
