Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems seeks a Hypersonics Program Manager in Huntsville to own profit & loss and drive technical execution for a team designing and prototyping hypersonic systems. You will plan, staff, and manage complex tasks within schedule and budget, lead IPTs, and coordinate with government customers and subcontractors.

The role requires strong program management, cost control, risk mitigation, and proven leadership across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain activities.

Qualifications

• BA degree in Engineering or Business (technical focus) and 12-15 years of experience, or Masters with 10-13 years of experience.
• Experience with Flight and Missile Systems.
• Experience managing testing, planning, and scheduling for complex programs.
• Proven ability to lead in an IPT environment with government customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead IPT meetings and set expectations for project team.
• Evaluate program metrics to ensure successful execution.
• Identify risk and develop mitigation strategies.
• Plan and maintain program schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate activities across multiple functional areas.
• Develop proposals and participate in customer negotiations.
