Job summary

Beyond New Horizons (BNH) seeks a Mechanical/Aerospace Systems Engineer to support hypersonic wind-tunnel testing at Tunnel 9, AEDC White Oak, MD. You will own major systems, manage projects, and develop design packages for thermo-mechanical components in a challenging test environment.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 2+ years of experience, U.S. citizenship, and ability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for AEDC access.
• Ability to obtain security clearance and AEDC network access.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned systems across the full lifecycle, incl. configuration control and upgrades.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute facility and equipment improvement projects.
• Develop mechanical designs for tunnel components and interface hardware.
• Produce and maintain engineering drawing packages and BOMs.
• Perform thermo-mechanical and structural analyses for wind tunnel components.
• Coordinate with operations, safety, instrumentation, and maintenance teams.
