Job summary

Hermeus is seeking a Propulsion Test Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience with high-performance propulsion systems. You will assist in designing, setting up, and operating test stands, monitor data, and troubleshoot issues as part of our hypersonic development efforts.

The 16-week spring internship (January–April) offers exposure to test campaigns, data analysis, and collaboration with engineers and technicians in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a STEM program at an accredited college or university (undergraduate student in 3rd or 4th year, or enrolled in a Master’s/PhD program).
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Strong interest in propulsion systems and testing.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside experienced engineers to assist in designing, setting up, and operating test stands, learning the fundamentals of propulsion system testing.
• Help instrument test setups, monitor test conditions, and analyze performance data to contribute to system improvements and troubleshooting efforts.
• Partner with engineers and technicians to refine test processes, enhance safety procedures, and develop a deeper understanding of propulsion systems in a real-world testing environment.
