Job summary

Stratolaunch is seeking a Project Engineer to lead hypersonic air vehicle programs, reporting to the Chief Engineer. The role involves developing technical strategies, managing risk, coordinating with vendors, and communicating across engineering disciplines and with customers.

The position requires strong leadership, experience with prime contractors or program integration, and the ability to work in a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience as a project engineer or similar role with a prime contractor or program integrator.
• Experience managing support vendors and/or subcontractors.
• Experience maintaining, modifying, or testing aerospace platforms.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to achieve successful customer program execution.
• Familiarity with aerodynamics, propulsion, avionics, structures, controls and aero-thermodynamics.
• Support BOM development and vendor identification for manufacturing.
• Assist test planning and execution (ground and flight).
• Assist business proposals and planning.
• Support technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR).
