Job summary

Stratolaunch, LLC is seeking a Program Director to lead complex, multi-disciplinary aerospace programs spanning design, manufacturing, and flight test of hypersonic test vehicles. You will guide cross-functional teams, manage cost/schedule/technical performance, and report to executive leadership.

The role requires strong program management skills, experience with large budgets, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. Onsite work in Mojave, CA is expected.

Qualifications

• Progressive experience in technical and/or program management within aerospace/defense/high-tech sectors.
• Ability to make tough decisions in a technical environment.
• Experience managing large, multi-disciplinary programs with budgets >$100M.
• Extensive experience in aerospace program management, subcontracts, procurement, personnel management, and flight systems.
• Proven track record in technical leadership and subcontractor oversight.
• Advanced risk management and classified program experience.
• Exceptional facilitation, negotiation, and executive communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic program initiatives and represent the Program Director in executive forums and with customers.
• Mentor, coach, and develop program managers and team leads.
• Oversee multiple programs with cost, schedule, technical performance, and customer satisfaction.
• Drive adoption of advanced program management processes, tools, and best practices.
• Make high-impact decisions affecting program direction, resources, and risk posture.
• Lead forecasting and budgeting activities with accurate financial planning.
• Manage revenue recognition and contract invoicing per accounting standards.
• Report program status to the Program Director, C-suite, and Board.
