Job summary

Stratolaunch, LLC seeks a Program Director with 20+ years of relevant experience to lead complex, multi-disciplinal programs spanning design, development, manufacturing, and flight test of hypersonic test vehicles. This executive role requires cross-functional leadership in a strong matrix environment and a strong sense of urgency for high-stakes, high-complexity programs.

The ideal candidate will drive program forecasting, budgeting, and governance, while building strong customer relationships

Qualifications

• Minimum 20 years of progressive experience in technical and/or program management, with at least 5 years in a senior or principal-level leadership role within aerospace, defense, or high-technology sectors.
• Demonstrated success managing large, complex, multi-disciplinary programs with annual budgets >$100M.
• Proven track record of leadership in aerospace program management, subcontractors, and production.
• Ability to obtain and maintain TS security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic program initiatives and present information in executive forums and customer engagements.
• Mentor, coach, and develop program managers and team leads across the program.
• Oversee execution of multiple concurrent programs with full responsibility for cost, schedule, technical performance, and customer satisfaction.
• Own and maintain positive customer relationships by delivering results.
• Drive adoption of advanced program management processes, tools, and best practices.
• Make high-impact decisions affecting program direction, resource allocation, and risk posture.
• Lead forecasting and budgeting activities with accurate financial planning.
• Manage revenue recognition and contract invoicing, ensuring compliance and timely billing.
• Monitor and report program financial performance and address variances and risks.
• Partner with leadership to define long-term strategies and growth opportunities.
• Lead development of new business proposals and capture strategies.
