Job summary

North Wind in Plymouth, MN is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to provide mechanical assembly and upkeep of wind tunnel facility equipment and building systems. You will interpret engineering directions, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safe, reliable operation of high pressure air systems and associated infrastructure.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate
• 3+ years of related experience or equivalent
• Experience with mechanics, plumbing, carpentry, welding and electrical tasks
• Some experience with machining, hydraulics and pneumatics a plus
• US Citizenship is required

Responsibilities

• Assemble test system hardware and perform facility setup operations.
• Operate, maintain and repair high pressure air compressors, vacuum pumps, heat exchangers, filtration and ventilation systems, forklift and skid loaders.
• Complete maintenance/repair on equipment and building systems as needed for operational efficiency.
• Maintain work area records for regulatory compliance; support external vendors as needed.
• Complete work assignments to meet budget and schedule goals for mechanical effort.
