Job summary

North Wind seeks a Deputy Chief Engineer in Minnesota to lead the design, development, and optimization of hypersonic test facilities. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering or related field.
• Advanced degree preferred for leadership roles.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and optimization of hypersonic test facilities.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and Chief Engineer to set priorities.
• Mentor engineers and ensure technical rigor in reviews and deliverables.
• Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies for cost, schedule, and safety.
• Document and report technical progress, trade studies, and test results.
