Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking a Data Center Technician II to support network infrastructure in a hyperscale data center environment. This role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and documenting critical network hardware and cabling to support mission-critical operations.

Ideal candidates have experience in data centers, structured cabling, telecom, or low-voltage systems, and must be willing to relocate or travel for project work.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of hands-on technical experience in data center operations or related fields.
• Experience with hardware installation, rack and stack, and structured cabling.
• Familiarity with low-voltage systems and basic networking concepts.

Responsibilities

• Install, rack, stack, cable, and deploy network equipment including switches and routers.
• Perform hardware replacements and break/fix activities on network devices.
• Install, label, route, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic and copper cabling.
• Validate connectivity, asset records, rack elevations, and installation docs.
• Support MAC work and upgrades; assist with remote troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate documentation, tickets, and inventory records.
