Job summary

Eaton is seeking an Application Engineer for Data Center, Hyperscale Systems Design. This remote role targets candidates residing in the United States, with responsibilities spanning technical design support, hyperscale collaboration, and strategic product alignment across regions.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in electrical sales/engineering, a bachelor’s degree, and a track record with power distribution, UPS, and data center design. Travel up to 50% is possible.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum seven (7) years of electrical sales/marketing/application engineering experience.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • No relocation benefit offered; active-duty military are exempt from geographic area limitations.
  • Preferred: Electrical Engineering degree; MBA; PE license; LEED AP; extensive electrical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support design engineers at hyperscale accounts and position Eaton products effectively.
  • Serve as the technical expert for hyperscale accounts and assist account managers.
  • Collaborate with global AE teams to align future data center solutions.
  • Lead design efforts and localize designs for all regions.
  • Facilitate collaboration between hyperscale teams and product lines; influence roadmaps.

Professional Engineer (PE) License
LEED AP
Extensive electrical experience
Knowledge of Eaton products
Ability to travel

Tools

Power distribution knowledge
