Job summary

Gilbane Building Company in Missouri seeks a Senior General Superintendent II - Data Center to oversee field operations on one or more large projects. This on-site role requires hands-on leadership, strong safety discipline, and coordination with owners, architects, and trades.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in commercial/industrial construction, hyperscale data center experience, OSHA 30, STS-C, and a Bachelor's in Engineering or Construction Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 15+ years of experience on large commercial/industrial projects.
• Hyperscale data center experience is required.
• OSHA 30-hour certification and STS-C certification are required.
• First Aid/CPR/AED training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates Gilbane's trade contractors and their sub-contractors to ensure high-quality work meeting the project schedule
• Supervises and develops the project team
• Manages the project budget for general conditions and Next 150/Site Services
• Develops, documents, and communicates the work plan regarding changes made in the field
• Leads site walks with the owner, architect/engineer, and financial institutions to show construction progress
• Maintains understanding of contract documents to coordinate trades and plan ahead
• Follows-up with AHJ to schedule and complete inspections
• Acts as primary safety representative in the field and drives safety culture
• Mentors and develops junior project team members on project needs
• Leads technical trainings for continued education
