Job summary

You will lead complex changes, provide Tier 3 escalation support, and collaborate with field teams and customers to ensure reliability and safety. Willingness to travel across the United States is required, and strong documentation and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data center networking and optical transport experience.
• Experience with rack, fiber, switch/router installation, testing, commissioning in data centers.
• Experience supporting hyperscale, colocation, or large-scale data centers.
• Knowledge of Data Center Interconnect architecture and high-speed optical transport.
• Experience with modular chassis platforms from Cisco/Arista/Juniper or similar.
• Experience installing or supporting data center computing servers (HPE, Dell, Supermicro).
• Working knowledge of optical transport components (OLS, ROADM, transponders, EDFAs).
• Strong troubleshooting across physical layer, fiber, and network hardware.
• Ability to author and follow detailed Procedures of Operation (MOPs) and manage high-risk changes.
• Strong documentation and customer-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support physical deployment activities in customer data centers (rack, fiber, switches, tests).
• Support hyperscale and colocation data centers.
• Install and commission high-capacity network, server, and optical equipment.
• Work with Data Center Interconnect deployments across sites.
• Develop and maintain detailed Methods of Procedure (MOPs) for changes.
• Provide Tier 3 technical escalation support to field teams.
• Review BOMs, designs, and plans for accuracy and alignment with customer needs.
• Diagnose faults with optical and network test equipment and document results.
• Identify gaps and propose practical improvements for reliability and service quality.
