Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager for on-site leadership of hyperscale data center projects in Spartanburg, SC. You will manage planning, budgeting, scheduling, contractor oversight, safety, and closeout to deliver mission-critical facilities.

The role requires 8+ years in construction PM, strong communication, and a track record of delivering $50M+ projects. Travel will be required, with Procore/Primavera P6 experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8+ years of construction project management experience on large-scale projects.
• 4+ years in a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager role leading projects valued at $50 million+.
• Proven experience managing all phases of construction project delivery.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, contract administration, and project controls.
• Experience managing contractor performance, change orders, cost controls, risk mitigation, and payment application reviews.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams in fast-paced environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication with executive stakeholders.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of hyperscale data center construction projects from concept through completion.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk to ensure objectives are achieved.
• Provide day-to-day construction oversight and leadership across all project phases.
• Coordinate activities among architects, engineers, contractors, utility providers, commissioning teams, and client representatives.
• Facilitate project meetings, document minutes, track actions, and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Analyze project performance and develop reports related to schedule, cost, safety, quality, procurement, and risk management.
• Review contract documents, drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Lead change management, including evaluation, negotiation, and approval of change orders and claims.
• Review and approve contractor invoices, payment applications, and cost forecasts.
• Coordinate commissioning activities and ensure successful startup, testing, and turnover of systems.
