Job summary

Meta seeks a Data Center Capacity Engineer to ensure its global data center infrastructure can meet demand for billions of users. You will analyze capacity trends, model future needs, and partner with hardware, network, and site operations teams to plan capacity at scale.

You will drive end-to-end capacity planning for Meta's hyperscale data center campus, manage concurrent workstreams, and mentor team members while translating data into actionable capacity programs across global sites.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in capacity planning, demand and supply management, production planning, operations planning, or infrastructure management
• BS, BA, or BEng in a relevant field or equivalent
• Experience with process ownership and development, and systems development
• Knowledge of enterprise networking, servers, and storage installations
• Understanding of data center infrastructure systems and applications
• Familiarity with data center power and cooling constraints and their impact on capacity planning
• Ability to communicate effectively across audiences
• Demonstrated problem-solving and ability to deliver at scale

Responsibilities

• Own accountability for the three capacity workflows (receiving, moves, decommissioning) and coordinate cross-functional collaboration
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategy and drive initiatives for data center operations
• Analyze business capacity demands and translate data into local capacity plans
• Plan, lead and collaborate on complex capacity projects across data center teams
• Build cross-functional relationships and influence capacity-related policies
• Develop and share best practices across global data centers
• Drive alignment and execution of capacity initiatives across partners
• Lead data analytics and root cause analysis to improve uptime and utilization
• Create or improve global standards for processes and automation roadmaps for server hardware deployment
• Work with hardware/software teams to resolve complex infrastructure issues
• Mentor capacity team members globally and scalable problem-solving
• Apply SME knowledge of cooling, power, networking, and automation
