Job summary

Meta is seeking an experienced Cloud Production Systems Engineer to join the Data Center Operations team. You will leverage automation to optimize server repair workflows and drive fleet health improvements across a large hyperscale data center environment.

You will write production-grade tooling in Python/Bash/C/C++ for Linux, collaborate with global teams, and travel up to 25% to support new site deployments and operations across multiple regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience (or equivalent).
• 7+ years in production systems engineering or large-scale cloud environments.
• Experience with hardware lifecycle management and fleet automation.
• Experience developing automation tooling in Python/Bash/PHP/C/C++ for Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Identify systemic issues in the cloud server fleet and drive resolutions to maximize uptime.
• Develop, review, and maintain diagnostic and automation tooling for production servers.
• Own diagnostic tooling requirements for frontline operations teams.
• Lead the escalation process for tooling and hardware issues affecting fleet health.
• Validate new cloud product integration into production environments.
