Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Critical Infrastructure Engineer to support AWS data centers from design through turnover.

You will troubleshoot, perform RCA and document corrective actions for equipment failures, and guide upgrades to increase capacity, efficiency and reliability. The role requires strong engineering judgement, attention to detail and a willingness to work both in the field and in the office across multiple projects and regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Valid and active driver's license.
• Experience with building codes and regulations for your region is preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial or industrial power systems or mechanical systems is preferred.
• Experience taking design concepts through exploration, development and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, perform RCA and create CA documentation for site/equipment failures.
• Provide ad-hoc training and review operating procedures for critical equipment.
• Own conceptual design for data center upgrades to increase capacity and efficiency.
• Interface with operations, design, hardware, safety and other teams to promote standards.
• Develop innovative solutions for AWS data centers.
• Work on multiple projects across regions and teams.
• Initiate and lead on-site engineering audits and produce risk/mitigation reports.
• Act as resident engineer during new construction, supporting commissioning and turnover.
