Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an Amazon Critical Infrastructure Engineer to provide full life‑cycle support for AWS Data Centers from design to maintenance. You will be the go‑to resource regionally, troubleshoot failures, and lead audits while coordinating with operations, design, server hardware, and safety teams.

Role emphasizes upgrading data centers for capacity, availability, and efficiency, with field work and travel across regions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
Experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers.
Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region.
Experience with data analysis and data processing tools.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, conduct RCA, and create CA documentation for site/equipment failures.
Support operational issues with ad-hoc training and procedures reviews.
Own the conceptual design for data center upgrades to add capacity and improve efficiency.
Interface with data center operations, design engineering, server hardware, and safety teams.
Develop innovative solutions for AWS data centers.
Lead engineering audits and on-site visits, producing risk reports with mitigations.
Act as resident engineer during new construction projects and support turnover.
