Community Dental Care in Buffalo is seeking a Part-Time Hygienist for Fridays from 7:20 am to 2:00 pm. You will contribute to high-quality, compassionate care and support a patient-centered experience.

The role focuses on charting, exams, and creating a hygiene plan in coordination with a dentist; you will perform debridement, prophylaxis, nonsurgical periodontal therapy, and provide nutritional counseling, fluoride varnishes, and nitrous oxide supervision where appropriate.

Formación

• Dental Hygienist license is required.
• CPR/AED certification is required.
• Experience working with culturally diverse communities preferred.
• Proficiency in a second language preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide comprehensive dental care focusing on patients' health needs.
• Perform preliminary and existing charting of the oral cavity and surrounding structures.
• Conduct initial and periodic examinations and assessments.
• Formulate a dental hygiene treatment plan in coordination with a dentist’s plan.
• Complete debridement, prophylaxis, and nonsurgical periodontal therapy; place subgingival medicaments.
• Provide nutritional counseling.
• Administer nitrous oxide analgesia and monitor patient; apply topical fluoride varnishes and desensitizing agents.
