Job summary

Community Dental Care in Rochester, MN is hiring a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our clinical team. The selected candidate will provide comprehensive dental hygiene care, charting, examinations, and treatment planning in coordination with a dentist.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental hygiene care with focus on patient health.
• Perform charting, examinations, and assessments.
• Formulate and implement a hygiene treatment plan with the dentist.
• Complete debridement, prophylaxis, and nonsurgical periodontal therapy; apply medicaments.
• Provide nutritional counseling and nitrous oxide monitoring.
• Apply topical fluoride varnish and desensitizing agents.

Job Details: Job Location: Rochester, MN 55904, Salary Range: $48.00 - $54.00 Hourly, Join our team in Rochester as a full-time Hygienist! Our Hygienists serve as integral members of the clinical team in providing high quality and caring dentistry as well as an exceptional patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental care with a focus on the health needs of the patients
• Perform preliminary and existing charting of the oral cavity and surrounding structures
• Perform initial and periodic examinations and assessments
• Formulate a dental hygiene treatment plan in coordination with a dentist’s treatment plan
• Complete debridement, prophylaxis, and nonsurgical periodontal therapy; place subgingival medicaments.
• Provide nutritional counseling
• Administer nitrous oxide inhalation analgesia and monitor patient
• Apply topical medications including fluoride varnishes and desensitizing agents

Qualifications

• Dental Hygienist license
• CPR/AED certification
• Experience working with culturally diverse communities preferred
• Proficiency in a second language preferred

Rochester Clinic Shift: Monday-Thursday: 7:50 am – 3:00 pm Friday: 7:50 am-2:00pm
