Job summary

Community Dental Care in Crystal, MN is seeking a full-time Hygienist to join our clinical team and deliver comprehensive hygiene care in a caring, culturally respectful setting.

You will support preventive care, coordinate treatment plans with a dentist, and enhance the patient experience through education and compassionate communication. The role follows clinic hours and emphasizes teamwork in a diverse community.

Qualifications

• CPR/AED certification is required.
• Experience working with culturally diverse communities preferred.
• Proficiency in a second language preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental hygiene care with focus on patient health.
• Perform charting of oral cavity and surrounding structures.
• Conduct examinations and assessments.
• Coordinate hygiene plan with dentist’s treatment plan.
• Complete debridement, prophylaxis, and periodontal therapy; place medicaments.
• Provide nutritional counseling.
• Administer nitrous oxide analgesia and monitor sedation.
• Apply topical medications including fluoride varnish.

Join our team in Crystal as a full-time Hygienist! Our Hygienists serve as integral members of the clinical team in providing high quality and caring dentistry as well as an exceptional patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental care with a focus on the health needs of the patients
• Perform preliminary and existing charting of the oral cavity and surrounding structures
• Perform initial and periodic examinations and assessments
• Formulate a dental hygiene treatment plan in coordination with a dentist’s treatment plan
• Complete debridement, prophylaxis, and nonsurgical periodontal therapy; place subgingival medicaments.
• Provide nutritional counseling
• Administer nitrous oxide inhalation analgesia and monitor patient
• Apply topical medications including fluoride varnishes and desensitizing agents

Qualifications

• CPR/AED certification

• Proficiency in a second language preferred

Crystal Clinic Hours

Monday-Thursday 7:20am-3:30pm

Friday 7:20am-2:30pm
