Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental hygiene care focused on patient health.

• Complete debridement, prophylaxis, and nonsurgical periodontal therapy; place subgingival medicaments.
• Provide nutritional counseling.
• Administer nitrous oxide analgesia and monitor patients.
• Apply topical medications including fluoride varnishes and desensitizing agents.

Our Hygienists are essential members of the clinical team, delivering high-quality, compassionate care and creating an exceptional experience for every patient.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental care with a focus on the health needs of the patients
• Perform preliminary and existing charting of the oral cavity and surrounding structures
• Perform initial and periodic examinations and assessments
• Formulate a dental hygiene treatment plan in coordination with a dentist’s treatment plan
• Complete debridement, prophylaxis, and nonsurgical periodontal therapy; place subgingival medicaments.
• Provide nutritional counseling
• Administer nitrous oxide inhalation analgesia and monitor patient
• Apply topical medications including fluoride varnishes and desensitizing agents

Qualifications

• Dental Hygienist license
• CPR/AED certification
• Experience working with culturally diverse communities preferred
• Proficiency in a second language preferred

Buffalo Clinic Hours: Friday: 7:20 am-2:00 pm
