Job summary

HDR is seeking a Structural Engineer to support its Hydropower Practice, focusing on design, repair and retrofit of utility structures. You will review documents, develop calculations, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams on projects from proposal to completion.

The role requires a Civil/Structural Engineering degree, PE license, and experience in structural engineering for engineering/construction firms. Field inspections and client interaction are involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE or equivalent) license is required.
• Experience as a structural engineer in an engineering company is required.

Responsibilities

• Review structural documents for conflicts with all disciplines.
• Write and edit structural specifications and calculations.
• Coordinate the structural design team through design development and CD phases.
• Participate in code reviews with governing agencies.
• Conduct site design development and CD work sessions with PM and other disciplines.
• Coordinate workload through design development and CD phases.
