Job summary

HDR is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Hydropower team. You will lead mechanical balance of plant upgrades and major equipment upgrades at existing hydro facilities, performing feasibility studies for pumped storage projects across multiple locations in the United States.

You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary group, produce designs and system calculations, and support project cost estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• Professional engineer license recognized by licensing board is required.
• 5+ years of experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support projects involving mechanical balance of plant upgrades.
• Provide field support during installation, testing, and start-up.
• Coordinate workload across multidisciplinary team to meet schedule and budget.
• Prepare project cost estimates and client proposals.
• Establish client relationships and participate in meetings with regard to mechanical systems.
