Job summary

Plug Power is seeking a Commissioning & Maintenance Specialist to commission, troubleshoot, and repair hydrogen storage infrastructure, electrolyzers, and stationary equipment at customer sites. This is a heavy travel role (up to 100%), with on-call requirements to keep hydrogen production running 24/7.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, familiarity with industrial hydrogen systems, and the ability to communicate across teams and with customers.

Qualifications

• Three (3) or more years of experience in construction, repair, or maintenance in an electrical, industrial, or mechanical field.
• Associates degree or vocational degree in engineering, electronics, pressurized systems or other applicable field preferred; or 2 extra years of related experience.
• Ability to travel up to 100% as needed to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to perform inspection, troubleshooting, repair, testing and commissioning of Plug Power products.
• Lead high level service repair projects on hydrogen infrastructure, including specialized procedures.
• Provide training to first responders, customers, and Plug service personnel on troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Support commissioning and ongoing maintenance and operation of industrial hydrogen infrastructure, including P&IDs and safety compliance.
