Job summary

Hgen in Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Commissioning & Field Engineer to lead the commissioning and deployment of electrolyzer modules at our factory and customer sites nationwide. You will test systems to ensure readiness for delivery and plan integration at customer facilities in a fast-paced startup environment.

The role requires a mechanical/electrical background, 5+ years in commissioning control systems, on-site work in Hawthorne, CA, and travel across the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, etc.)
• 5+ years in commissioning control systems in energy sectors
• Strong fundamentals in mechanical, fluid, power and control systems
• On-site in Hawthorne, CA; lift up to 50 lbs
• Willingness to travel US ~20% (month deployments)

Responsibilities

• Devise and execute factory acceptance test plans
• Plan transit preparations and lifting operations
• Resolve technical issues with practical solutions
• Coordinate work at customer sites with vendors
• Develop maintenance procedures for sites
• Create P&IDs and instrument lists
• Track spare parts inventory for maintenance
• Support development testing and test stand upgrades
• Other duties as assigned
