Job summary

Western International Gas & Cylinders, Inc. is seeking an introductory Operations Technician to learn plant processes, assist with daily operations, and support maintenance activities.

The role requires flexibility to cover day, night, and weekend shifts, with typical ~40 hours per week and potential for growth into a full Operations Technician. Ideal candidates will have an Associate Degree and 1–3 years in an industrial setting, along with strong math, safety, and mechanical/electrical

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related discipline from an accredited junior college or technical school
• 1–3 years of industrial plant operations or maintenance experience preferred
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts and overtime as needed
• Strong safety mindset and ability to learn process and instrumentation basics

Responsibilities

• Learn and operate the steam methane reformer and related equipment
• Monitor plant process, complete logs, collect samples, and maintain housekeeping
• Follow safety policies, participate in LOTO and energy isolation procedures
• Interpret P&ID diagrams and plant manuals to troubleshoot and support operations
• Assist with startup/shutdown of plants and daily maintenance tasks
