Job summary

Nippon Sanso Matheson in Lemont, IL is seeking a HyCO Plant Relief Operator. This introductory role covers learning hydrogen plant operation basics, performing shift logs, and supporting vacations. Expect ~40 hours weekly with day, night, and weekend coverage and potential progression to a regular Operations Technician role.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in a related discipline or equivalent training/experience.
• 1–3 years in an industrial plant operations or maintenance setting preferred.
• Ability to learn and apply safety policies including Lock Out/Tag Out.

Responsibilities

• Learn and support operation of a steam methane reformer and related equipment.
• Perform rounds, log sheets, water sampling, and maintain housekeeping.
• Follow safety and work policies to maintain a safe work environment.
• Develop ability to read P&ID drawings and interpret process operations.
• Assist with starting/stopping plants safely as required.
• Participate in regular/shutdown maintenance and TAR work.
