Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking a Hydroblasting Crew Leader to join our Baton Rouge, LA team. The role involves directing abrasive blasting operations and ensuring safety, quality, and client requirements are met on-site.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma, 3+ years of hydroblasting experience, TWIC card, and NCCER certifications at some sites; pre-employment tests and PPE compliance are mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience required.
• TWIC card required.
• Basic knowledge of hydro blasting equipment and the hazards associated with it.
• May require NCCER certifications at some jobsites.
• Written pre-employment qualification test.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
• Hazard Communication orientation/test.
• Turner Industries Group, LLC Indoctrination.
• OSHA approved corrective eye wear (Z87).
• Job site orientation.
• Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)
• Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)
• Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Moves controls to adjust pressure and concentration of grit to obtain specified finish
• Wears gloves and a helmet or hood to protect against breathing sand-laden air and to prevent injury to eyes and hands
• May mask areas not being sandblasted
• May order materials as neededPerform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
