Job summary

Brookfield Asset Management Inc. is seeking a Senior Supervisor to direct a team of Hydro Technicians and Station Operators across multiple hydroelectric facilities in New York.

You will oversee maintenance, operation, and repair to ensure safe, reliable energy production in compliance with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include planning and scheduling, training, safety compliance, project management for small to medium projects, and coordinating responses to plant emergencies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safe operating procedures, OSHA regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Proficiency with CMMS and maintenance planning.
• Strong communication and administrative skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, direct, coordinate and supervise maintenance and operating personnel in hydroelectric facilities to ensure continuity of operations.
• Train subordinates in maintenance practices, safety, security and environmental compliance and operating techniques.
• Execute and comply with company policies with emphasis on safety and environmental requirements.
• Direct personnel in response to plant emergencies, safety procedures, and operations.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations and labor agreements.
• Manage small to medium maintenance and construction projects, possibly with contractors.
• Travel offsite throughout the New York Region.
• Other duties as assigned by the Sr. Operations Manager.
