Job summary

Integrated Power Services in the United States is hiring a Field Engineer for Hydro Field Service Projects. You will provide technical support for repairs on hydro generator stators and rotors, lead the on-site field crew, and ensure all contractual obligations and quality targets are met.

The role requires strong repair skills, a customer-centric approach, and ability to travel up to 75–80% to client sites. A BS in ME/EE and hands-on experience with hydro equipment are essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years in a field engineering role or lead wind-er position.
• Direct experience with winding and repair of hydro generator stators/rotors; knowledge of testing processes.
• Experience with on-site repair oversight and customer-focused service delivery.
• Willingness to travel up to 75–80% and work site-based roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site project oversight of service repair team and accountability for repair and preventative maintenance.
• Own the full scope of repair service for hydro generator stator/rotor including testing processes.
• Oversee and operate equipment such as torch sets, megger, hipot, resistance, and related tools.
• Identify product failures and assist in root-cause analysis.
• Serve as primary liaison between internal teams and customer stakeholders for satisfaction.
• Share data and insights to align service objectives across the project team.
• Assist with proposals and technical solutions in collaboration with Applications Engineers.
• Provide market intelligence on pricing, scope, and execution.
