Job summary
A global technology leader is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to develop site installation procedures for hydroelectric projects. Qualifications
3+ years experience in mechanical design of heavy industrial components.
P.E. license preferred.
Responsibilities
Develop site installation procedures for disassembly, refurbishment, and reassembly of components.
Develop quality requirements for installation of components, including inspection and test plans.
Support unit alignment and assembly of critical components.
Resolve installation issues related to projects.
Review contractual specifications and technical documentation.
Interface with clients regarding installation matters.
Assist the Sales Department in the bid for installation issues.
Provide assistance in refurbishment tasks of hydro-turbines.
Travel may be required for critical installation work.
Skills
3D / 2D CAD proficiency
Working knowledge in capital equipment
Experience designing large rotation equipment
Detail oriented
Ability to prioritize work
Education
