Job summary

Addison Group is seeking an experienced Pumps, Applications, and Hydraulics Sales Rep to promote sales of pumps and accessories to established and new customers in the Houston area. Provide technical and commercial proposals in response to inquiries, traveling to customer sites for face-to-face interactions.

You will quote, negotiate, and close orders while leveraging knowledge of pumps, hydraulics, and related applications.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required in engineering, sciences, or related field.
Minimum three years of experience in quoting, marketing, or engineering of pumps (API 610 preferred).
Excellent written, verbal, negotiation, and interpersonal skills in English.
Strong knowledge of pumps, applications, and hydraulics.
Ability to work independently with little supervision.
Outgoing personality and resilience to rejection.
Valid state driver’s license with a good driving record.
Proficient in math and computer skills including Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
Strong analytical skills to resolve problems and objections.

Responsibilities

Calls on prospective customers and validates their needs via regular contact.
Sells products to established customers and validates their needs via regular contact.
Finds and develops new customers and new sales potential within existing customers.
Negotiates orders, including technical, commercial, and legal details to mutual satisfaction.
Travels to customer locations to ensure close and regular face-to-face contacts.
Secures and renews orders and arranges delivery dates and peripherals integral to selling.
Entertains customers during and outside normal business hours within budget and good business practices.
Regular and reliable attendance.
