Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation invites applications for a Mechanical Engineer Intern at JLG, an Oshkosh company. You will work with experienced engineers on diverse projects, from simple tasks to complex analyses, gaining real-world design and testing experience.

You will design, model and test mechanical systems, update BOMs, draft ECNs, and support on assembly floor prototyping. A bachelor’s in mechanical engineering with a 3.0+ GPA is expected, plus familiarity with Creo Parametric or similar CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field; GPA 3.0+.
• Familiarity with Creo Parametric, Pro-E, CATIA or similar CAD system is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and interest in mechanical design.
• Experience with SAE teams or extracurricular activities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, model and test new mechanical systems.
• Update BOMs and ECNs in PLM/PDM systems.
• Provide technical assistance during prototype, pilot, or production builds.
• Perform engineering calculations such as weight distribution and stress analysis.
