Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Hydraulic Structures Engineer to join its multidisciplinary team in the United States. You will analyze and design hydraulic structures for flood control, water resources, and related projects, lead project teams, and prepare proposals, drawings, and cost estimates.

You will collaborate with engineers across Environment, Industry, Transportation, and Water sectors, participate in business development, and mentor junior staff while delivering high-quality technical

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
10 years of related experience.
Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

Analyze and design hydraulic structures for flood control, hydroelectric, and other water resource projects.
Lead project teams of structural engineers and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.
Prepare project proposals including scopes, budgets, and schedules.
Forecast workload and schedules; monitor budgets and schedules.
Prepare contract documents (drawings, specs, criteria, cost estimates).
Perform engineering services during construction and review submittals.
Conduct inspections and structural assessments and prepare reports.
Present technical presentations to project teams and clients.
