Job summary

Continental Group Sector ContiTech is seeking a Hydraulic Technical Sales Specialist to support and grow our Canada Distribution Vertical. You will lead growth strategies, act as the hydraulic expert for hoses, fittings, and fluid handling, and collaborate with distributors and end users to deliver innovative solutions.

Expect heavy engagement with customers, technical demonstrations, and joint planning with sales leadership to maximize revenue, margins, and market share.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in a technical discipline (or 10+ years of relevant experience)
• 5+ years of hydraulic hose sales experience
• Strong sales, client relations, and business development background
• Excellent negotiation and presentation skills, PowerPoint proficiency
• Travel up to 50%, including overnight stays
• Legal authorization to work in Canada (no sponsorship)

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a hydraulic sales strategy to maximize growth and market share in IAM Canada Distribution
• Drive profitable sales growth by identifying, developing and converting new business opportunities
• Serve as hydraulic subject matter expert for hoses, fittings, adapters, and fluid handling solutions
• Collaborate with distribution sales teams and leadership to execute growth plans
• Conduct customer visits, demonstrations, training, and technical presentations
• Support distributors in identifying opportunities, building pipelines, and market penetration
• Manage strategic customer accounts with regular reviews and planning
• Assist in proposals, quotations, and contract negotiations
• Monitor market conditions and trends to inform business strategy
• Ensure exceptional responsiveness and technical support throughout the customer journey
