Job summary
Superior Industries is seeking a Hydraulic Designer II to drive hydraulic system concepts through execution. You will draft schematics, layouts, and BOMs while collaborating with engineers and manufacturing to ensure flawless integration.
Responsibilities include selecting pumps, valves, actuators, and fittings, implementing performance improvements, and providing technical support. Strong CAD tool experience is required.
Qualifications
- 2-year technical education and/or experience in Fluid Power
- IFPS Hydraulic Specialist Certification preferred but not required
- Understanding hydraulic relationships: pressure, flow, power, and efficiency
- Understanding mechanical power relationships: HP, torque, speed, ratios
- Knowledge of various hydraulic components and electrical relationships (voltage, current)
Responsibilities
- Create hydraulic schematics, drawings, and system layouts.
- Develop BOMs for hydraulic components.
- Select and evaluate pumps, valves, actuators, and fittings based on project specs.
- Implement design improvements to boost performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineers and manufacturing to ensure proper integration.
- Provide service and sales support related to hydraulic design.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic system issues and provide tech support.
