Job summary

AvonRisk LLC in Houston, TX, seeks a Workers’ Compensation Claims Supervisor to lead a claims unit and drive performance. The role involves coaching, auditing, and ensuring compliance with Labor Code rules while managing timely evaluations and reports for clients.

The supervisor will oversee Claims Specialists and Assistants, ensuring accuracy, throughput, and adherence to company standards in a hybrid in-office setting (1 day/week in Houston).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
• Five or more years of progressive technical claim experience.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and evaluate staff.
• Strong knowledge of statutes and Labor Code rules relevant to workers' compensation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely completion of performance reviews for personnel in the unit.
• Provide guidance and monetary approval up to authorized levels.
• Maintain selected files and subrogation/complex claim documentation.
• Provide information and reports as required by clients and contracts.
• Foster teamwork and professional relationship across departments.
