Job summary

Zurich North America is seeking a skilled Claims Specialist II for its Workers’ Compensation team in Schaumburg, IL. The role is hybrid, with in-person collaboration at the headquarters and flexible scheduling within authority limits.

You will manage multi-party commercial Workman’s Comp claims of moderate to high exposure, developing case strategies, estimating reserves, and negotiating settlements while upholding service excellence and regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years in Claims or Litigation Management.
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with 3+ years in Claims or Litigation.
• Completion of Zurich Claims Training Program with 3+ years in Claims.
• High School Diploma Equivalent with 5+ years in Claims or Litigation.
• Must obtain and maintain required adjuster licenses.
• Microsoft Office experience.
• Knowledge of insurance regulations, markets and products.

Responsibilities

• Document claims file with accurate data per best practices.
• Assess liability by gathering facts and applicable law.
• Verify policy coverage and determine loss applicability.
• Develop case strategy for timely claim resolution.
• Establish reserves within authority and review claims.
• Assess damages and negotiate settlements within limits.
