Job summary

AvonRisk is seeking a hybrid Claims Specialist in Glendale, CA to manage an assigned inventory of claim files through the process, ensuring timely actions and proper documentation. You will coordinate with claimants, employers, physicians, and vendors while applying California workers' compensation rules.

The role requires 3–5 years’ related experience and a preferred Bachelor's degree, with a hybrid office schedule (in Glendale or Orange). The salary range is $30–$40 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years related experience; SIP certificate adds value.
• Knowledge of California Labor Code for workers' compensation.

Responsibilities

• Manage an inventory of claim files to conclusion under supervision.
• Contact claimants, employers, and treating physicians within 24 hours of receipt.
• Gather evidence for compensability, disability payments, and subrogation where applicable.
• Develop an up-to-date plan of action for indemnity claims.
• Collaborate with medical case managers to enable early return to work.
