Job summary

AvonRisk is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster II to independently manage a complex indemnity claims portfolio from intake to resolution. You will apply WC statutes, manage medical, litigation, and recovery efforts, and report to a unit Claims Supervisor across self-insured client accounts.

The role is hybrid, requiring three days per week at a designated AvonRisk office, with relocation to a qualifying location within commuting distance.

Qualifications

• 3 years CA WC claims adjusting with Bachelor's degree required, independently managing indemnity claims.
• 5 years CA WC claims adjusting without Bachelor's degree; ability to manage claims through resolution.
• SIP designation preferred but not required; licensure support available.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex indemnity claims from intake through resolution.
• Direct defense counsel, set litigation strategy, and manage budgets.
• Negotiate settlements and pursue subrogation aggressively.
