Job summary

AvonRisk is a leading specialty risk manager seeking a Claims professional in Glendale, CA. You will report to the unit Claims Supervisor and manage an assigned inventory of claim files from intake to resolution, aligned with applicable statutes, company rules, and performance objectives.

Responsibilities include early contact with claimants, gathering evidence, coordinating with medical case managers, pursuing subrogation when applicable, reviewing medical bills, and ensuring timely

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college, or 3–5 years related experience.
• Experience handling workers’ compensation claims in CA preferred.
• Knowledge of California Labor Code related to workers’ compensation.

Responsibilities

• Perform a three-point contact on all new losses within 24 hours.
• Thoroughly gather evidence for compensability and disability needs.
• Maintain up-to-date plan of action for indemnity claims.
• Collaborate with medical case manager to maximize early return to work.
• Initiate referrals to the SIU for suspected fraud.
