Jacobs is seeking an experienced Design Build Transportation Design Manager to lead the design delivery of major highway and bridge projects across the U.S. This is a high-impact leadership role for transportation professionals who thrive in fast-paced alternative delivery environments and are passionate about building strong teams and delivering exceptional results for our clients.

You will guide multidisciplinary design teams, manage scope, schedule, budget, and risk, collaborate with clients

Qualifications

• Must have led complex transportation design programs in alternative delivery environments.
• Proven ability to guide multidisciplinary design teams and manage scope, schedule, and budget.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience delivering highway and bridge projects from concept through construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination, and design delivery for large transportation projects (Design-Build, P3/PPP).
• Serve as primary design leader with clients, contractors, and owner representatives.
• Direct multidisciplinary design teams across offices to ensure quality and collaboration.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk while aligning with contracts.
• Collaborate with controls and scheduling to monitor performance and resolve challenges.
• Ensure high standards of technical quality and design coordination.
• Develop execution strategies, staffing plans, and resource allocations.
• Mentor project engineers, discipline leads, and staff for project success.
