Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Design-Build Project Engineer to join our Transportation Practice in a hybrid work setting. You will work with design managers and project teams to deliver complex transportation infrastructure through design-build and other methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field is required.
• EIT certification and pursuing licensure are preferred.
• 2-5 years of transportation infrastructure project experience required.
• Experience with Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, or CM/GC delivery is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of transportation projects using Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, CM/GC, and other delivery methods.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams on roadway, bridge, transit, aviation, and other projects.
• Assist with project planning, technical coordination, and development of engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders throughout project delivery.
• Support design development and preparation of plans, specifications, reports, and contract documents.
• Assist with project schedule tracking, design milestones, and coordination efforts.
• Participate in design reviews, value engineering, and constructability reviews.
• Provide construction-phase support, including RFI responses, submittal reviews, and field visits.
• Contribute to quality management and ensure compliance with Jacobs standards.
• Build relationships with clients and project teams while developing leadership skills.
