Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Design-Build Project Engineer to join our transportation practice in a hybrid work environment. You will collaborate with design managers, project managers, and technical leaders to deliver complex transportation infrastructure projects through design-build and other delivery methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 2-5 years of transportation infrastructure project delivery experience.
• EIT certification.
• Experience with Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, or CM/GC.
• Experience with roadway, bridge, transit, or municipal projects.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of transportation projects using Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, CM/GC, and other methods.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams on roadway, bridge, transit, aviation, and other projects.
• Assist with project planning, technical coordination, and development of engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders throughout project delivery.
• Support design development and preparation of plans, specifications, reports, and contract documents.
• Assist with project schedule tracking and design milestones.
• Participate in design reviews, value engineering, and constructability reviews.
• Provide construction-phase support including RFI responses, submittal reviews, shop drawing reviews, field visits, and coordination with construction teams.
• Contribute to quality management and ensure compliance with project requirements and Jacobs standards.
• Build strong relationships with clients and project teams while developing leadership skills.
