Job summary

Jacobs seeks an experienced Design Build Transportation Design Manager to lead the design delivery of major highway and bridge projects across the United States. You will guide design teams, manage client expectations, and ensure quality execution in fast-paced environments.

You will coordinate across offices, mentor engineers, and drive innovative solutions, while aligning with schedules, budgets, and contracts to deliver value for clients and Jacobs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 15+ years leading complex transportation design programs.
• Experience delivering highway and bridge infrastructure from concept to construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination, and design delivery for large transportation projects.
• Serve as the primary design leadership representative with clients and stakeholders.
• Direct multidisciplinary design teams across multiple offices.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk.
• Develop project execution strategies and staffing plans.
• Mentor project engineers and discipline leads.
• Drive communication across design, construction, and project management teams.
• Review schedules and milestones against client agreements.
• Support business development efforts and client engagement.
