Job summary

Kennedy Jenks seeks a Client Service Director in California to grow and strengthen our water and wastewater practice across a national footprint. This senior leader will guide client relationships, market development, and project delivery for infrastructure projects.

You will lead strategic pursuits, build teams, and oversee scope, schedule, and staffing, shaping growth with clients in both public and private sectors.

Qualifications

• Education: BS or MS in Civil, Chemical, Environmental, or similar engineering field.
• 15+ years of consulting/engineering/infrastructure experience.
• Knowledge of local consulting market and client needs.
• PE license or ability to obtain licensure in California.
• DBIA certification preferred.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and Kennedy Jenks offices.

Responsibilities

• Develop opportunities by engaging the marketplace and identifying new clients and projects.
• Advance client relationships to expand service offerings and partnerships.
• Lead strategic pursuits, positioning, proposals, and pursuit planning.
• Build high-performing teams through hiring, development, and inclusive leadership.
• Oversee project development from planning through construction and delivery.
• Contribute to delivery as a leader or team member with strong technical judgment.
