Job summary

Central Texas Food Bank is seeking a Volunteer Engagement Coordinator to serve as the public face of the volunteer experience. You will check volunteers in, provide orientation, schedule groups, and answer inquiries across channels.

Responsibilities include data management, program development, outreach, and supporting other departments with volunteer initiatives. A strong service ethic and community focus are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year experience with volunteers or customer service.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, plus public speaking ability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
• Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Schedule a high volume of volunteers each month using VolunteerHub.
• Provide excellent customer service to the public via phone, email, and walk-ins.
• Track volunteer data in Raiser’s Edge NXT and VolunteerHub, generate reports.
• Oversee volunteer programs including recruitment, scheduling, training and events.
• Backup receptionist duties and assist with donor relations and donations.
